Sister Kathy

A chaplain by profession, I work for an agency that cares for frail, low-income elderly through the end of life. My salary contributes to the goal of making the Casa Alexia project sustainable. As a volunteer chaplain, I offer spiritual counseling to the undocumented women in detention and to women in the County Jail.

Living on the border with Mexico and being in solidarity with the immigrant gives me joy. I feel privileged when the women in detention share their cares, sorrows and faith journeys.
